    Description

    • Single breasted jacket with satin lapel, no tail tuxedo (100% polyester). This classic fit tuxedo is a more relax fit than our Modern Fit Tuxedo ( B017SKYAP0 , B017SKY2VC )
    • Fully lined vest. Adjustable around the neck Bowtie.
    • Baby size dress pants have elastic top. For size 2T to 4T, pants have flat front and elastic back. For size 5 and up, pants have zipper fly front with button closure and elastic back.
    • Long sleeve dress shirt (65% Polyester 35% cotton )

    Decent black tie suit but has a large polyester component to it that some may not likeEvery year I take my small son to one or two operas or musicals here in San Francisco, and we often wear black tie (informal evening dress). As my son outgrew his last black tie suit, it was time to order something to replace it and we decided to take a gamble on this. The tuxedo arrived fine just a few days after ordering and on first inspection seems to be slightly larger than the sizing chart for Spring Notion indicates. The main thing I do not like about the suit is that it has a significant polyester component to it. This gives the suit an overall slight "sheen" that I find to be of questionable taste. If you are buying this for a 3 year old, I do not believe most people would care or notice, but if you are purchasing this for a 12 year old who is going to be seen by others, then the polyester sheen might not be your style. I knew from reading the description that the included formal shirt was mostly polyester but I assumed that the suit itself would be some blend of wool or cotton, but that is not true. So, for that reason I am trying to decide if I should return it or not. Also, although advertised as Made in the USA, it is in fact made in Indonesia (which is fine) but just thought interested readers would like to know. It also has a mild bulging of the cloth near the shoulders and fits just a bit odd. I cannot say that I dislike it and I do feel that most parents will be happy with the suit for around $50 but for myself, I guess I just expected a little bit more. Three stars for now and will evaluate some more in the coming months.(Also, I know that the following will not be of interest to 99% of readers but I was hoping that I could find a boy's tuxedo with peak lapels, which are the standard for informal evening dress, but I was not able to do so (at least on Amazon). The formal shirt does not have double French cuffs as it should have to be used with cuff links and there are regular buttons on the shirt with no place for proper shirt studs. The included vest is also polyester and has a fully satin front, which is not in the classical style of including only satin or grosgrain lapels on the vest. The vest also has three buttons and is not a deep V cut like you find on classical tuxedos from Great Britain. I do not think these small changes will concern most people but there may be a few classical folks out there who would be interested.)3Happy Happy Happy!!If you need a tux for a wedding or special event I highly recommend you buy this one. You won't be disappointed. I purchased it for my son who is going to be a ring bearer in an upcoming wedding and it looks great on him. The quality of this tux just amazes me and you can't beat the price. In my opinion the sizes run a little small but the return policy was very quick and easy that I had no problems returning it and getting the next size up. To give you an idea on sizes....my 9 year old wears a 8-10 in boys, so I ordered the 10 and it was too small for him in the length. I sent it back and ordered the 12 and it fits perfectly! My son is about 57'' tall and skinny minny so our problem is always the length and not the width. :) ) note: We are not using the bow tie that comes with this as we needed to order a specific color bow tie so I really can't comment on it but it looked liked your standard bow tie.5Great tux if you can get the fit rightI ordered based on my son's measurements and was concerned the tux might be a little on the small side. I was wrong. We decided to buy after checking out the cost to rent. But if we have to alter this then we're getting up in the rental price range. We ordered a 10. The pants are slightly loose in the waist but there is back elastic and belt loops. They were pretty long in the stride and very loose in the seat area. Even with shoes we'll have to hem. The shirt swallowed him. No way to make the shirt work. The vest was pretty loose and the arm holes hit too low. It is adjustable in the back. The jacket was just slightly on the large side overall, but not so large that I'm sure about getting an 8. The sleeve length was perfect. I don't know if getting one size smaller is the answer or trying out the modern fit which is cut to fit closer to the body. The tux itself is great. Some reviewers have lamented the polyester fabric, and it's not my favorite either, but this is probably a one time wear and who's really checking out the fabric anyway? So it's a great looking tux if you find the right size. The shirt is pretty thin and scratchy so it would need to be washed before wearing.4Never rent a kids suit again! EVER!Very nice suit for the price... The tuxedo rent place wanted $200 to rent the kids suit! Much better this way, and plus you get to keep it! The only bad thing (and I'm being nit picky) is that it does come wrinkle wrinkle! But get it pressed with the money you saved (or iron it yourself) and you're be A-OK5Great suit for a great price!!!!I found out my son was going to prom one week before prom. I didn't want to spend money to rent one that i would have to give back nor did i think they could get one in on time if i did rent my son one. I measured him and took my chances that this suit would actually fit him with only one week before prom. He is 15 years old, 5'7", and 165lbs. The suit fit him perfect! I was so happy and relieved. If I had any complaints about this suit it would be the pants seemed to have a different feel of fabric from the jacket. They were thin. We bought light colored underwear and you could not tell. For the price of this suit and the way it looked I would definitely buy another one if my sons needed one and I would reccomend this suit to anyone looking to not waste money renting one or needing one last minute. I posted 2 pictures. One of him in the total suit I odered and another picture of him with a purple vest i purchased seperate to match his date.5Great quality and perfect fit!This lil tux is the cutest thing ever! We bought it for an upcoming wedding our son is in. He is 28 mo and 29lbs. The 2T fit him perfectly. Arms are a little bit long but I plan on tacking them up before the wedding. I also bought a pair of suspenders to help keep the pants up throughout the night. A couple of the boys were pushing the pressure valves on bottons of their vest so hard, that I feared they would pop off during the recital, but the vests were well made and held the future linebackers and the orchestra safe.The tux's looked great and the boys were all smiles, and proud to be wearing their 1st tuxedo at such a young age. I used a different bow tie5I totally recommendI purchased this tux for my 18 year son to where at his senior prom. I'm totally against renting so I thought I take my chances shopping online. Since my son is a young man, I purchased a few adult sized suits that just didn't work. When I came across this tux and compared the listed measurements with his they matched up perfectly. In addition to the fit the tux is very well made and the jacket pocket is a real pocket which surprisingly hard to find for some weird reason. You can totally wear this tux as it comes but we decided to swap out the bow tie with a nice white on white paisley tie and pocket square. I totally recommend.5145 lbs 18 size.I got this for my 16 year old son which is on the Al I m side he is around 140 to 145 lbs fluctuating around that weight. The size 18 fit like a glove. I am posting this because I originally was going to get a 20 but went with the 18 based on other reviews of the 20 that said the weight was about 155 lbs. Do the 18...if slim and tall5
