    Quality materials and a great fit.I spend a lot of time around the water heater on boats and a lot of time walking. These work well in any wet environment OR can be worn to dinner or the beach bar at night! The fantastic support and soft strap are a perfect combination then add in the textured sole and you have a winner. The high quality materials these are made of ensure years of use unike the competition whose wear out in no time...5Do not get WETUPDATE: These REEFs should not get wet, they absorb water and stink like a sewer afterwards. The description states "sponge" and that is true. Cleaning with strong chemicals and including bleach has had very little effect on eliminating the smell. If it rains, or you go to the beach, boating or do anything else where your feet will get wet... wear different shoes/flip flops. These are not good flip flops for a Floridian, especially one that intends to use the flip flops as advertised.Original Review is below right after I purchased them...Wow, very impressed! I was almost not going to buy another pair of Reefs because my last pair fell apart in less than a year. I don't know if these things will last or not... only been on feet less than an hour, but the are amazingly comfortable. Like walking on a water bed.1Flip flops that feel as comfortable as running shoes at a priceBoy these were the most $$ Reef flip flops I have ever bought but with Reef you can t go wrong. This particular model feels like you are walking on pillows and very comfortable. Four star just because the darn things are so $$ but having back issues I need the shock absorption. If you a 6 man 200+ lbs, these are perfect if you can rationalize $50 for flip flops.4These are nice. Much thicker sole than the regular phantoms and ...I have owned several pairs of regular Phantoms in the past. First time ordering these Cushion Bounce ones. These are nice. Much thicker sole than the regular phantoms and softer feel. Took a couple of weeks to break in - arches hurt a little until then. Overall, happy with these. It will be interesting to see how these wear compared to the regular phantoms.4Super Comfy Flip FlopsThese are the best flip flops I've owned and they are by far the most comfortable. I love flip flops in the summer but the thin soles usually cause lower back pain after wearing them for any extended period of time. That is not an issue with these Reef flip flops. I would compare the soles on these to the Adidas cloudfoam. They are very soft and extremely comfy if you are on your feet all day. I can wear these and don't have to worry about my back hurting at the end of the day.5It feels comfy at first, but the rubber padding ...It feels comfy at first, but the rubber padding makes your feet slip to the edge while your heal almost off once you start walking . I tried 2 sizes and both had this problem. Then I remember why I stopped ordering Reef's years ago.1Most COMFORTABLE Flip Flops in the History of Flip Flops ! ! !After I placed the order for these flip flops a buddy said he saw the same pair of Reef Phantoms on Amazon for only $26. The descriptions weren't exactly the same, so I ordered both to see if they were... and if they were I was going to send these $42 pair back. They were definitely different. These "Cushion Bounce" Phantoms are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet. They are so soft to stand on and the straps are really comfortable. I feel like I am getting a foot massage each time I put them on. The other $26 pair (Reef Mens Sandals Phantom | Athletic Flip Flops for Men with Contoured Footbed) are okay flip flops, but don't even come close to the comfort of these. I have been telling everyone I know to get these, as they are AWESOME!!!! Well worth the extra few bucks. My last pair of Reefs lasted over 3 years of wearing them every day and are still wearable... but are starting to lose most of the tread on the bottom so I decided it's time for a new pair.5If I didn't know better, I'd say these are counterfeit!I have purchased and worn-out Reef Flip Flops for decades. I am loyal to this brand because of their consistent quality, durability, comfort, and feel. This particular pair, however, have fallen way short in everything I have learned to accept as a Reef product.First, they hurt. No, it is not the usual break-in with the toe strap - it is the lack of resiliency in the heel cushioning. Both of my heels are bruised as a result of stepping on half-dollar sized stones, which are common in my neck of the tropics. I never had that problem with any of my other Reefs!.Second, they stink. I am at the point now that I have to spray them with a bathroom cleanser with bleach every evening because they reek of something awful. Please don't go assuming I have a foot odor or sweating problem - I don't, and again, this was never a problem with any of the other dozens of Reefs I have owned.Third - they have a terrible friction coefficient - I slip on almost every substrate with this things on my feet! My others, you guessed it, had great traction!Seeing how out of the ordinary these feel, smell, and perform, I can only conclude that these are NOT genuine Reef Flip Flops, unless the company made a dramatic change to their manufacturing processes and/or material sourcing. Or perhaps I receive a factory prototype that went wrong? Either way, if you are expecting the usual greatness of a Reef Flip Flop, do not buy these. I am replacing them ASAP...1So comfyI have wide feet so I usually buy men's footwear because they tend to fit better and I've been wanting some reef sandals. These are the comfiest pair of sandals I've ever had, they form to my feet and they are soft. The color and design is true to the picture, my bad lighting doesn't do it justice. I like it all around. I've only had them a few days but I have no complaints so far.Update: I've had them for almost a month now and I wear them everywhere. Still absolutely comfortable and the material is holding up with no issues, dont think I'll need to buy any sandals for a long while.5Best Reef shoes out thereThese are the most comfortable flip flops I ve ever worn in my entire life and I have worn many many different flip flops. I live in the south so it s hot almost all year long and I wear flip flops almost all year long. I first discovered these when I got a pair for my husband a couple years ago. At the time I also got a pair of reef flip flops in one of the women s styles. Mine were very comfortable and cute but they were no where near as comfortable and supportive as his. So here we are a couple years later and his shoes are still as good as they were when we first got them and mine are starting to wear out. I decided to try to find some like his to fit me. I am a women s size 8 and thankfully I can fit a men s size 6 perfectly. The size 7 would have worked but they were a bit loose. I searched everywhere and I cannot find a women s version of this exact shoe so men s it is for me. Hopefully reef will make this shoe in women s sizes eventually but until then I ll be comfortable in my men s flip flops.5
