Customer Reviews

JUST WHAT I NEEDED- CHART IS GREAT AS WELLI am currently going through some physical therapy for a hip problem (along with hip spurs) and the facility introduced me to this stretch strap in 3-4 of my assigned exercises. I can tell that my hip has been getting a bit more flexibility after 3-4 weeks of sessions and wanted to continue the exercises at home. The product arrived quickly and the package included an exercise chart that contains some of my current exercises.I am sure that my condition will continue to improve ( as much as can be expected) with this strap now that I can do these exercises on a daily basis. The company followed up on my shipment, and made sure that I received it as promised.Overall, an excellent purchase. 5Guide is easy to read an understandI purchased this on the recommendation of a PT before I had lower lumbar spinal fusion and glad I did. I am about19 months out from the surgery and stopped doing the exercises with it mid last summer, this morning I am digging it out and going back to starting my day with 20 minutes of the work out. The strap is easy to work with and find ways to use it that are comfortable and being able to control the use and time in my own home over doing it at the PT office, makes it much more comfortable. The idea I can get up and do the same things first thing in the morning as often as I want over waiting to get to the PT office made this worth the investment.I am in my mid 50's and fighting arthritis and Fibro and my body felt better over all when I was staying with this program four to five days a week.I would kick myself for not sticking with it, but I can't hardly raise my foot this morning due to hip pain. Stupid should hurt!5Very helpful for scar tissue from knee replacement.I really like this. I got it primarily to stretch out my quadriceps which became very tight on the leg with the total knee replacement. 1-1/2 years post surgery I was still having terrible pain with going down steps, and so was avoiding stairs, and hiking in the hills. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and really pushing the stretch past the point of pain, like a physical therapy Nazi would do. I just returned from a trip to Lake Tahoe where I did a lot of hiking and scrambling around in the rocks and had no problems at all with going down. I was using my walking sticks for protection, but really, no pain! When I use this put my ankle in one of the last loops, lay on my stomach and pull the ankle toward my butt, holding the other end in my hands with the strap passing over the back of my head. I put it till it has a good stretch, and then I push against it doing an isometric with my quad, then relax and pull it even farther. I do this about 3 times for a total of about 30 seconds. Then I pull it an an angle to each side and stretch that. 5Best stretching strap I have ever found with excellent posterI have a bad back, and stretching is one of the best ways to try and stay out of pain. I have tried all sorts of stretching devices, from old ties, to pilate straps and bands. Then I found OPTP at a Physical Therapists office. Wow, what a difference a strap can make! This strap is made from very strong material and is not going to break. It has little sewn wraps all around the strap, so you can either put your feet, hands or both in them. I find it gives me more stability while I am stretching. I find the grips make this strap much easier for me to use then many others I have tried. The chart is a great help. You can also buy this strap with a small book instead of the poster. I find if I tape the poster to a wall in my house, low enough for me to see while I am stretching, I get the most benefit from this strap.Happy stretching...it will change your life! If my review helped, please click below ("yes" or "helpful"). Thanks and feel good! :)) 5This is the one you want.I bought this a couple weeks before seeing a physical therapist. It really helped prior to the visit and when I told my PT I had purchased a stretched band she replied with, "Is it green?" Yes. "Is it this one?" Yes. "Good. Let's see what you're doing with it." She was happy. It's well constructed (I'm a very tall, big person and I can tell it can handle anything I throw at it). The hand holds throughout make it super easy and useful to use. I was using a jump rope before... this is 1000% better. Love it. I use it every day, twice a day. 5The one physical therapists use. Accept no other. The Stretch Out Strap is the real deal, the exact same make and model as the ones used in Physical Therapy offices. I've been in PT for four months due to an Achilles tendon injury, and this is the one my therapist uses with me.There are a lot of cheaper, crappier imitations and wanna-be products out there, sold at sporting goods stores and the like. I know, because I've bought some of them. They last approximately one week, or the first hard stretching session, whichever comes first. They are simply not made for the hard use that a stretching strap will get if you're doing it right. If you want a commercial-grade stretching strap that will last for a while, this is the one, end of story. 5Very Pleased!I ordered this stretch-out strap, which is the exact same one I used during the physical therapy sessions I recently completed, because it worked to seriously improve the flexibility in my knee in which I have a slight meniscus tear. In addition to the stretching exercises I'm doing for my knee, I am using the strap and its accompanying exercise poster to do stretching exercises for other parts of my body. Ah, it's so much fun getting old(er)! While this strap is not cheap (after all it's just a strap), I consider it to be money well spent. Further, it's price on Amazon is over $8 less than it's sold for in the rehab facility I went to. I highly recommend the OPTPS Stretch Out Strap with Poster to anyone in need of doing proper stretching exercises for good physical fitness. 5Great stretching toolWe use this strap at our outpatient clinic-I'm a PT. The people who seem to like it the most is the "over 65" set and people with back problems and lack of flexibility. 5Great quality & versatility at a great price! Highly recommend! Love this Stretch strap! It s the same one my physical therapist uses during my therapy sessions. She said I could use a dog leash if I didn t want to buy a Stretch strap, but I liked having the convenience of loops every few inches. They really help with grip & making adjustments. She warned me this brand might cost up to $20, but cheaper brands did exist. I decided to do some research on Amazon. Being familiar with the various qualities of material used for making dog leashes (basically the same material as a Stretch strap), I could tell by photos alone which brands were superior. The OPTP brand won that visual comparison hands-down. Not to mention, the price on Amazon was just $16! I couldn t pass that up & I m glad I didn t. Like I said, this thing is great! I m 5 2 & weigh 150 lbs. The length of the strap is perfect for looping the center loop over my foot so I can then raise my leg little by little to get a good stretch. The loops are plenty roomy at 7 each in length (a 14 circumference) & plenty to utilize (10 loops total) for your various needs. I wear a size 7 athletic shoe & the loops comfortably slip atop & over my shoes easily. The nylon is a bit stiff right now, but I know it will soften. My experience with the well-used, but still in spectacular shape, strap I use at my PT appointments has afforded me that insight. Although, if washed, I m sure the material would soften that way too. I have yet to wash mine, but I may do so, just to make it easier to roll up & store in my self-made still-under-construction PT kit. Oh, and bonus, this strap comes with a really nice quality physical therapy poster that illustrates many of the most common stretches used by PT specialists & how to safely do them.Overall: I highly recommend this item! 5Get the simple strap without loops! It was uncomfortable to put your foot through loop to try to stretch or use it for different stretch moves plus didn t like the glossy rope material- you can t grip comfortably without hurting hand after a few. I returned and purchased the original yoga strap that s made out of I believe cotton that you can grab and pull easily. Works like a charm! I even bring to work in my bag to stretch and it s not bulky and long like this one that s too big to travel. 1Small Investment and Big Reward :-)I just finished my back therapy, I use one like this everyday, didn't know that you can do so many things with this. It comes with a chart with the same things and even more things that I had in therapy. I am 6'3" tall and ordered the XL one it is perfect!!!!!!! It makes you wonder whey your doctors every tell you about things like this. I feel Great I haven't felt like this in 15-years. I have customize my work out for every other day and the type of work out that I would IT IS SO EASY!!!!! WOW!!!! Get your before to start having trouble and you start saving some money going to the doctors officer. Trust Me On This. Note I have seen in China, there are places throughout China for the people to stretch like this, they even give free classes in the parks- WOW!!! 5Worth it.Omg, just what I was looking for. The strap is strong and studry and the stretching guide that it comes with is awesome very easy to follow and clear instructions. And thats hard to satisfy a person like me cause I always feel instructions can be very vague. But not these. It tells you exactly what to do and how to do it and the secret helps too. When you order it you'll know what I mean by the secret. Basically a little tip to get the most out of your stretch. Bet $15 I ever spent. I could never do these stretches by myself. So I never progressed with my flexabilty. I am confident I will now, in time of course. Not trying to hurt myself, just see the possibilities with this strap plus the guide.5
