    Buy your kid's actual sizeI read most of the reviews on here and they all seemed to indicate I should size up. I think it depends on your kid. I have a tall, thin 6 year old. He's 52" tall and 54 pounds. He was swimming in the medium and the sleeves were about 2" too long. I think a small would have been perfect, which is the size he normally wears. So, I would buy your kid's normal size. Other than that, this is your typical compression shirt. Not too thick or thin. Seems like it would have been perfect for a breezy southern California afternoon baseball game. 5Good under soccer jerseyWe ordered this for my daughter to use under a soccer jersey, and it has been perfect for the 2 times she's worn it. Only washed on cold, and line dried, and no apparent change in size. My daughter is 4 ft 2, 78 lbs, and a Youth Small fits her just fine--not skin tight but also not swimming in it. She does have a longer torso, and it is long enough for her. She is tall/muscular for her age (6), so these may run large for others. 5Great Product! Does run big, order a size downJust arrived! Seems like it's just what I was looking for my daughter to wear under her soccer jersey. Dri fit type athletic material. Seems to be good quality. Time will tell. She normally wears a med. 7/8 but based on reviews I ordered a small and it's going to work out great! 5My son wants to keep despite mom's disappointmentI'd like to make this a 3+ closer to 4 but don't have that option. I bought this shirt for one of my twins as part of a Halloween costume. I knew looser was better for that, but also baseball season is starting and sizing really is a bit looser than we'd like for that "undershirt".. Hoping to use it for baseball so a little "big" is okay for us.. though I get others that want tighter fits, I also add in the ad to purchase it stated it was a loose fit so I'm not taking any "dings" for that.My drop in rating is that I'm pretty sure we have a return. It has 3 notable spots on it,, two smaller spots and then another that looks like a spot was washed off but the bigger ring from washing a spot remains. I was pretty peeved but my son said "it's fine, lets wash it. It's white and will probably get dirty"... so thank my 10 year old son for his understanding..Without above stated, the fabric and quality are as expected and as a non brand should be pleasantly surprised. I think the chart for size is true but realize they state it's not a "tight fit" and realize it will fit like a normal long sleeve shirt. Buy smaller if you want a tighter fit.I wish I had more.. our shirt came with no tags to indicate it was new and does not look new even out of the plastic bag with easily re-seals so I could return. My son wants to keep it to be Marshmallow for Halloween so despite the 3 stains and several snags right out of the bag, we will just keep it as I have another kids without a costume yet.. 3Grandson loves them!At first I started not to buy these b/c I saw where ppl referred to them as thin and cheap. They are not! The thinness is what my grandson LOVES about them. They feel so soft and silky on his skin he says. I will def. buy these again. True to size. If I would say anything neg. it would be that it has a tag instead of size being printed directly on the shirt but I had read that before buying them so I will not deduct a star for that. It's perfect on cool days when one shirt just isn't enough. Great under shirt!! 5Ran A Tad Smaller Than I Hoped, But Son Is Still Happy...I bought this for my very slender, but tall 8 yr old son to wear and it will work, but I was hoping it wouldn't be quite so fitted. I purchased a size small in this shirt, and in retrospect, I should have got the Medium. He could wear a size 6-7 in width, but usually needs an 8-10 for length because he's tall. He loves the color and the material and will be able to wear it, just not for as long as I'd hoped :) Next time, I'll get the next size up. 5Not a compression type fitNeeded a long sleeve under shirt for baseball. I wanted it to be a tight fit. I ordered a size up and down to see to make sure I got the right fit. My son is 10 1/2 and is about 96lbs 58 inches tall. Medium was a tighter fit but was too short. Large fits better but it is not a tight fit compression type shirt I was looking for. But it does do the job for a layer of warmth. But if you are looking for a tight fit this may not be the shirt for you. Smaller size did fit my younger son who is 7 1/2 and is 60 lbs and 53 inches tall. Product did ship really fast. 5Too thin to be a cold gear wear and not SPFed for summer.I always read reviews before buying online and 99% I purchase the right size/made right decision. Not this time. unfortunately, it is the 1%..Many reviewers said the shirt is running large so I order a medium for my son (my son is smaller size for his age), and it is way small. the shirt is very thin, I thought it will keep warm as a under layer shirt, but no. Too bad, i threw away the packaging, otherwise, would have returned it. waste of money now. 2So far so good!My son hates wearing any fitted shirts. So I was very excited to find these shirts. They are athletic material but loose fit, which means they fit like a regular shirt and not a tight compression shirt. He says they are very comfortable. He wears them under his soccer jersey when it s cold. I also love that they come in a variety of colors. Our school colors are dark green, gold, and white. PIAA requires all apparel that is worn underneath soccer uniforms to be the same color as the jersey. It s nearly impossible to find the solid dark green color in major brands. I bought the dark green for my older son.My only criticism (and it s very minor) is that it does have a tag. It would be better for them to be tag-less, but I was able to remove the small tag without any problems.The sizing is pretty accurate. The sleeves may be a little bit longer than other brands. My older son wears a L or XL in major athletic brands, with large often just a little too short in the sleeves and th XL too long, but the Large fits him perfectly in this shirt. 4Very good for the price.It meets the description given. The color was spot on (and hard to find Neon Orange-thus directed me to this), they do run big as the reviews say. I bought an XS for my son that typically wear a boys 6-7 shirt. It is loose an not overly large or out of proportion. I havent noticed anything with regards to quality deficiencies.I would only add that this is a long sleeve moisture wicking shirt only. This material does not really complete the function of a base layer type shirt. If it is an overly cold night I would still recommend a base layer type shirt under this. 4
