Fun Ninja activity! Nice product and kit.Bought this on a bit of a whim.Set up was easy for me, as I have used similar ratchets for boats and cargo... even a backyard zip line we set up once.You'll need a ladder to set up the training assist line.. to get it high enough to be effective but out of the way.Kids have fun with it.. Yet its stout enough for my 200+ lbs.The training strap is great for those of us less adept at balancey things..The ONLY criticism is that its easy to fray the secondary balance strap.. My kids twisted it back on itself a few times.. turning back and forth on the slack line.. and that left one short area continuing to wear at a singular spot.Its easy enough to fashion a new strap from spare webbing laying around.I don't see the tree saver bands lasting very long.. But the trees we use (20+ yr old cedars) won't be damaged much from the thick slackline webbing, anyway. Younger, smaller trees might be damaged. Use your better judgement when installing. 4Challenging and FunEveryone in the family (my, my wife, and my 6 & 8 year old girls) love using the slack line. It's challenging, but I feel like I improve every time I use it (I've had it for about a week).Set up and take down is easy (comes with a bag to put everything in). Set up is probably 5 minutes, take down maybe 10 because I like to wrap the lines up and put everything away neatly. I like that it comes with the tree protectors, and they're pretty easy to set up. The ratcheting mechanism seems sturdy enough. The line holds my weight fine (~ 230). But, it needs to be fairly high to not touch the ground if the trees are close to the full 57' apart. This isn't an issue when it's more like 20-30 feet.The training line is helpful. It gives my girls some confidence while they're doing it and it means that I can just be near them instead of holding their hand. I try not to use it myself and I can stand for a while and take a few steps without falling. But every time I fall off, I want to get back on and stay for longer. It's a lot of fun. I think the learning curve is reasonable because I feel like I've been better every time I get on it (about 5 times in 10 days or so).The original shipment was missing a few components, but the seller (DDRPL) responded very quickly and shipped out a replacement that arrived in no time. 5Love this slack line! Great quality product!My children (8 yrs. and 10 yrs.) love this slack line! I did a lot of research and really appreciated that this kit had everything we needed and more. Key to my final decision was the fact that this kit came with the ratchet for the top training line (not just the bottom line), and included tree protectors. My husband had it put up in minutes and my children spent the entire weekend outside playing on it. All of the materials are high quality and the price is amazing. Excellent product, thank you! 5I love it!When I was a kid, I begged my dad to string up a tightrope in the garage. (Can't imagine why he wouldn't do it, concrete floor and all.) Last week, I bought this slackline kit on a whim after seeing it on YouTube. I'm my mid-50s now, and though my DH thought I was crazy (entirely possible), he helped me string the line (and the guide-line up above) between two trees about 30-40 feet apart. Setup was super easy - no tools required. Interesting things happen when you push yourself to do the impossible. Every muscle must learn to work in conjunction with the others (plus the mind). After 15-20 minutes 'walking the line,' I feel strong, focused and remarkably calm. My posture has improved. It was hard at first, and I did fall off a couple of times - but DH thought to install it over soft ground, smart fellow that he is. (He's on it now as well.) Anyway, I love it! 5WE LOVE THI SLACKWE LOVE THI SLACK! the whole family loves this as a means of exercise and fun. Butdon't be fooled it is HARD at first but with practice you can take one step on the slack, then two, then three, etc. There is a handy "trainer" slack that allows for extra support balancing in the beginning which we thought was critical to have for beginners. This set also comes with two tree protectors which was awesome because we use the slack in the park and wouldn't want to grind into the trees. My only issue is that it is so hard to tighten the slack that only my husband was able to do it and he used all of his might. He is 6'0" and weighs 200 pounds and is pure muscle and he even found it hard. Its a bummer that he the only one that can actually tighten the slack so I cannot use it alone. And, the slack must be tight like a drum for it to not shake when you walk.All in all a great time! Highly recommend for families, friends and strong singles. 4Great family funOrdered this kit for my son's graduation party. It arrived in plenty of time. His friends and some adults had a blast using it. This kit comes with everything that is required to slackline as long as you have a couple of trees. I do not have 2 usable trees in my yard so I had to build the ground anchors and the slackline A frames. This is a great way to get the kids off of the video games and get some exercise. The only issue I have is that one of the questions asked was recommended age. The answer being 4-50. We'll, I am 59 and am having a blast learning how to slack line with my kids. 5Quality product as describedShipped fast. The quality of the materials is excellent! There is an instruction manual that gives explicit instructions on use and installation. Very easy to follow. I haven't set this up yet, so I don't know if it will function as described but the width of the line, 2", is just adequate for my size 7M feet to feel comfortable on. But realistically, it's supposed to make you use your core muscles to stabilize yourself, so no point in making the strap too wide to be unchallenging. At least, that's my assessment of it. From what I've seen of it so far, I think I and my two grandchidren are going to have a blast challenging each other on this line. 5Great family fun! Don't forget to read instructions!If your looking for something that involves being outdoors and is fun for the whole family, this is a great product! My kids got it as a Christmas gift and really love the challenge of walking across the imaginary lava pit.However, a word of caution... there is a reason that the instructions say to set up the slackline around knee height. I found this out when I decided to bravely cross the lava pit of doom. I was about midway across when my confidence decided to leave me and my legs began dancing like a wiggly worm hitting the hot pavement. What happened next left me second guessing my decision setting up the slackline around hip height. Both feet went outwards leaving the extremely tension line that was sagging due to my weight to spring up as I was coming down. The sound of the slap was quickly heard before the pain began to surge, and all that was left to do was roll over and fall helplessly into the lava pit of doom. I felt as if my manhood was forever gone as my voice regressed to my teenage years of puberty. My facial expressions changing as I tried to utter "I'm okay" words to my wife who was laughing harder than she's ever laugh in her life. I finally regained my thoughts and slowly developed super powers to crawl out of the lava pit of doom... my children cheering me on.This Christmas will never be forgotten and I owe it all to my lack of reading instructions that came with the Slackline Kit. 5... Slackline kit at another party and how well people enjoyed it. So my wife and I ordered one ...We had seen this Slackline kit at another party and how well people enjoyed it. So my wife and I ordered one for our own family gathering of 30 people. The Slackline kit arrived on time and in great shape. The instructions were simple to follow and we set it up between two large trees in our front yard just below our deck. We had ages from 5 year olds to 55 year olds trying it and most became good at it rather quickly with the aid of the arm helper and top guide line. The key is to look straight ahead and not look down. The others cheered on from the deck - it was truly a hit and will become a staple at our future outdoor events. Well worth what we paid for it. We highly recommend. 5Great Fun but Strap Wore Out FastWe bought this for our little backyard adventure-land for our 3 boys and all their neighborhood friends and so far, it's a huge hit! It was pretty easy to install on the trees and has stayed well attached and after 2 weeks of frequent use, we've tightened it up only once. The best part of this kit is the line that can be strung above the slackline for the boys to hold onto until they learn to balance. There is also a strap that can be slung over the top line and hangs lower for shorter walkers like our 5 yr old to hold onto while they cross.The only reason I gave this kit 4 stars instead of 5 is that the orange strap that hangs down for little ones to hold onto got frayed from friction by the end of the 2nd day of use. I'd suggest the company come up with some way to prevent that - maybe a carabiner or thicker material covering the middle.Overall, it's been a great experience! 4
