    UPDATED REVIEW--------------UPDATED from original review.--------Changed from 5 stars to 1 because Zero stars is not an option.After the first washing, it appears that half of the material from the inside of the sock came away. It went into my hand and lint screen for my dryer.I have only owned these 3 pair of socks for roughly 2 weeks. They ALL have holes in the heel. I dont mean "a" hole like a weak spot that can be sewn shut. I mean a complete disintegration of the fabric and multiple holes(dozens) of holes forming on ALL of the heels. I do not wear these socks outside or walk on sharp glass for fun. I wear them indoors...and with shoes .I do not run marathons or walk 100 miles at a time and I do not weight 600lbs. Yet they have all failed.I have never in my life had socks of such low quality to fall apart like this. I literally got 3 wears out of each pair and they ALL have holes. In case you're not keeping up, they cost 10 dollars per pair. That's 3 dollars per wearing and now I have to throw them ($30) away.The most pathetic piece of clothing I have ever bought.Fail.----Original review------My new go-to sock.Fit perfectly. They dont slide down or bind tight like other socks.They are long. I'm a size 12 and when pulled up, they go over most of my calfThe only complaint was 1 of the 3 pair-- the toe seam was too pronounced and high. It was slightly annoying the first time wearing it. I hope it will go down with washing, but I am still giving these 5/5 because I assume it was a fluke as the other two pair are fine and it was just the one sock. 1Very Comfortable SocksThese socks are very comfortable. I thought I was buying the other Extra Wide Socks that are advertised that I bought before that had the rib on the toe on the outside and were thinner. I really like these socks, they are a little heavier than the other inescapable and the rib on the toe is in the inside but does not bother my toes. I am diabetic and in the heavy side and need socks that are wide on top and do not cut off my circulation and these are perfect. I highly recommend these socks and will be ordering more.Update: I thought these socks were made well but I was wrong, after washing them once on gentle cycle and in cold water, they are falling part, I now have a big hole in one of the seams. Also, the top part almost hits my knee, I have never had a crew sock what went up so high. 3Don't buy, extremely bad quality!After wearing the socks a few days they completely lost their elasticity, see photo. I wrote to the company- no comment, response let alone replacement. Pricy but worthless material! 1Where did my sock go?These sock have gone thinner. About one half the as thin. Easily walk a hole right in to the heel. You get half the sock for the same money as before. 1Finally! Socks that fit.I have serious problems with my legs and feet, which are so swollen that I can barely fit into size 15 6E wide shoes. Yes, it's painful, excruciatingly if you're not wearing socks (because they're very hard to find - retail outlets sell Extra Large socks, but they never fit). These socks, which I now own 9 pairs, saved my feet. They fit very well, but my legs, which swell, have some issues near the tops of the socks, but I just pull them apart a bit to break the seam and viola!, issue resolved. I highly doubt most people would need to do this because my legs are so huge. I say this because these socks are too good to pass up and if you seriously need them, it is worth every penny. Give them a try; Amazon is great about returns. 5WIDE IN THE FOOT :)After buying numerous different socks, trying to find one that was wide in the foot area, wa la, I found these. My husband ask" what took you so long to find them". I cannot tell you how many pairs of socks I bought him, and then throwing them into the Salvation Army box, and him telling me they were too tight around the foot, not so much the leg area. He is 77 years old and found it difficult to put on the regular buy at Walmart sock. I plugged in wide foot area socks and up came this brand. I don't know who was more excited, him or me that we found something that worked. We have a farm and tight socks just also did not keep his foot warm. I have tried to find some wide in the foot area wool sock, but nothing came up except wide for the leg. I am going to contact this company and see if they have something to offer, or give them a nudge to produce something warmer for winter. As for right now, I am ordering another pack of these socks. You'd think sock companies would not just focus on wide in the leg sock and think about how adults in today's age have WIDE feet. Wide feet and average made socks do not make a happy man, have happy feet. 5Not The Socks They Used To Be...I originally bought this brand of socks years ago and the design was solid and firm. The problem with every pair was that they would develop holes near the ankle and the elasticity would give out some but still decent overall.So, when it came time to buy more socks I went for the same brand hoping that the ankle hole issue had maybe been resolved. To my surprise, the socks had undergone a design change. The firmness of the upper calf portion has been replaced with a more loose mesh weave. While no ankle holes have developed in these new socks, the mesh weave at the calf end breaks down aftee only a few washes. Elasticity fails, the threading starts to break down and it's impossible to keep them from falling.It may be possible to keep these more delicate socks longer if washed in laundry bags versus being loose where the mesh is more likely to be pulled during washing. 1DO NOT BUY- COMPLETE CRAP.DO NOT BUY. These are JUNK. The tops stretch out so bad after about 15 times, they aren't useable. Complete CRAP. I hate it when crap like this is for sale on Amazon, and wish Amazon would just come out with their own "Basics" brand of things like this, and put people who sell this junk out of business- because they deserve it. 1I wanted to love these socksThis is so disappointing. I wanted to love these socks. They were so comfortable, they fit someone with large lower legs and feet like me who has a hard time finding socks, and I really felt like these were great socks. Then I washed them ONCE, warm water, instructions followed, and air dried them on the clothesline. Put them on and two of the three socks had massive holes in the ankle and heel. They're going to be unusuable within a couple weeks even if I don't wash them again. Deteriorating at an unbelievable rate. Absolutely disgraceful. I wanted to love these socks so badly, but they ended up being ridiculously expensive junk. I expected better. 1See my Amazon Profile Photo? I'm a HUGE guy, and these fit ME just fine.
