Customer Reviews

-Dries my wader boots and waders nicely Cons: -HmmmPros:-Dries my wader boots and waders nicelyCons:-Hmmm....had to think. Maybe the controls on top for easier visibility when I have boots and waders but this is nit picking. This is a great tool and we use it to dry our boots, wading boots, wader, and gloves from fly fishing, hunting, and playing.Overall:-Fantastic product that I wish I had many years ago. Well worth the purchase.Misc:-I wear size 14 boots, my wife size 6, and my son is a toddler. It accommodates all. Great product.5We're loving it.. still... 2 years laterI purchased this DryGuy Force Dry DX Boot and Glove Dryer for my husband to replace an older one. It is smaller than I expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since I can now fit it into a smaller storage space or corner. It does come with 1 set of extensions for taller boots. There is a timer on the front which you can set up to 180 mins, I believe. We use it for my 8 year old daughter's tennis shoes and my husband's work boots. If your shoes are just damp, they're usually done in about 1 or 1 1/2 hours. If they're wet, like out of the washer, it usually takes the full 3 hours. This is still a humongous improvement over our older model which could take all night. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it, especially for those who have to dry their shoes often.3/4/19 It s been 2 years and our dryer is still going strong. I can t say enough about this boot dryer! 5Boy am i glad i bought this!Super happy with this dryer. I have it plugged in right by the door so as soon as I come in, i can put my boots on it. I've been using it daily for my work and winter boots. Both are waterproof, meaning all my foot sweat gets trapped inside. Super gross but now I have the solution! Works great and I'd recommend it. My only complaint is the dial is a bit difficult to turn (perhaps by design) my 5yr old likes to put his boots on it too, but can't work the dial. 4Love this!Love this!!! Completely worth every penny. My husband work outside all day long in Michigan so the spring and fall rains and the snowy winters are rough on his shoes and boots. Going to work with wet boots or trying to hurry and blow dry in the morning was just not working. This dries his shoes and boots within 30min and I LOVE the auto shut off feature! He turns it on real quick in the mornings to get them warm. He has used this every day for the past month. It s perfect!!! 5Dry boots with fan and timer!Great unit met all my expectations. I bought this for my hiking boots which had a not-so-nice smell. I wear the boots several times per week. What I liked about this unit is that it has a fan and timer. The other units I looked at heat continuously and rely on convection. I didn t want my boots to heat continuously and I was unsure I d remember to unplug the unit. With this unit, I put the boots on to dry and turn the timer for 3 hours. It shuts itself off.Others have mentioned a smell in the room. That only happened the first couple of times. Since then, no smell. The unit makes about as much noise as a desk fan. Not a problem for me, but something to be aware of. 5This is heaven! Buy it if you're in frequent rainy/wet conditions. How did I not know about these things before? I live in the Pacific Northwest where it's always wet and our footwear can easily get moldy. This thing helps you keep your shoes/gloves/helmets dry.Noisy? - No, it's as noisy or quiet as a normal fan.Effective? - Yes. It has dried my soaked bike shoes in a couple hoursDurable? - We'll see with time but it does feel like it's well-built.5Three happy skiiersThis was an absolute WIN purchase for us. I purchased two of these for three skiiers and I had three happy skiiers for a week's vacation worth of wet, heavy snow. exposure. WIN!Dries and warms ski boots and gloves in a couple of hours, great to warm up equipment at lunch. Has an attachment for the big boot tube to direct air to the toes. Noise level is about the level of a hairdryer on MED.Just be aware, these units are not small - I guess I wasn't really thinking about how big they would need to be to put 4 boots on top of the unit, but plan your packing accordingly if you are going to transport them with you on a trip. Totally worth it in my book though if you have the extra packing space!Highly recommended!5Doesn't dry - which is its only job!Simply put it doesn't work well. I've had wet bike shoes that required 4 entire timer cycles on this thing, even with the "heat" on (the heat does virtually nothing). They probably would have dried as fast without this thing. I also own a Peet boot dryer which works extremely well - one cycle and the shoes are dry. Forget this thing - it's just a cheap piece of plastic with a weak blower/heater and spend the extra $20 on the Peet. You won't regret it. 1A dryer that works and you don't have to yell over it!I was somewhat skeptical about this dryer, however, we received it on the day my wife washed all our winter gear so we had the opportunity to give it a real test. Boy, howdy, did it work! We're very impressed! The Pros: First, this unit was ready for our ski gloves. I was a bit worried about heated air being forced into the gloves for two hours but the gentle 105 didn't cause any observable damage and dried the gloves thoroughly. Second, the unit is very quiet. Not so quiet that that you can't hear it but very inobtrusive. Third, it's very stable when drying ski boots on one side a gloves on the other. No fear of it falling over. The Cons: First, the timer dial is very stiff and lead me to think it was defective, however, it worked as expected. The dial kinda reminds me of a hot tub timer that you turn for the desired time. It presents resistance in one direction and turns easily to the "off" position. Second, while the dryer appears to be well designed and built, the plastic used appears to be polystyrene, which I expect to become brittle, leading to cracking and breakage from the use of heat over time. This may make it more susceptible to breakage when putting heavy ski boots on it in the future. The dryer's longevity remains to be seen.Overall, this is a great unit and, for now, we highly recommend it. 5and powders may help mask the stink to a certain extent the only way to make sure that your gloves stay fresh all the time is toI use it for my boxing gloves and I must say that I am the only person in my boxing gym whose gloves don't stink. Although sprays, glove dogs, and powders may help mask the stink to a certain extent the only way to make sure that your gloves stay fresh all the time is to dry them out with this bad boy after every use. Convenient timer is the cherry on top. If you use athletic gloves (boxing, MMA, muy thai, skiing, hockey, etc...) this product is a must!5Love this!I had been toying with the idea of this purchase for about 2 years now. Though it's not overly expensive, I kind of felt like it was an unnecessary luxury. So I've spent years drying my kids boots the old fashioned ways - clothes dryer and heat vents. Listening to the boots clunk around in the dryer is unbearable, and the heat vents really only work if you have a lot of time for the boots to dry before you need them again. I purchased a new dryer a few years ago and was so excited to get the shoe rack with it, only to realize that it does not dry winter boots. I finally caved in and made this purchase. Really glad that I did, and I have used it every day since. It doesn't get so hot that you worry about leaving it unattended, and it dries everything perfectly. My kids boots were really starting to smell like a mixture of mold and stinky feet because they were always damp. Now they dry completely and don't stink anymore. I was a little worried that the airflow would cause the scent to get blown into the air and that I'd be surrounded by the smell of moldy, stinky feet (like how my dryer would stink like really hot rubber and wet, moldy boots), but it doesn't. Would totally recommend! 5DRIES it ALLGreat Value, heat or no heat at a flip of a switch.Temperature is limited to prevent damage to leather or synthetic fabrics and preventing damage to the heater itself (which is what happened to my last two boot dryers)The timer is as simple as a twist of a dial. The 4 posts can accommodate two pairs of boots or gloves, even a helmet!Loving it and using it for hiking, work boots, football gear, snowboarding/snowshoeing... Etc.Great buy, no negatives yet! 5Most effective and versatile dryer of the several we own.We own several models of boot and glove dryers and this Dry Guy DX is the most effective and versatile.- Original Dry Guy without large boot adaptors works well but not as effective for large ski boots- A PEET Dryer which has nearly identical heater and blower but due to larger base and tunes seems to move less air through boots. Also the wider tube make it unsuitable for globes without additional attachmentd.- A DryGuy Travel Dry Boot and Shoe Dryer, which is completely useless. With the DC we can dry gloves.or boots without special attachments (as with original Dry Guy) and the included boot tunes add an extra bit of effectiveness. We end up using all dryers (except for the useless travel dryer) every winter weekend and if we need to buy another it will be this Dry Guy DX. 5Works well. Dries Motorcycle boots and sneakersNever had an issue with wet footwear before until I started riding trails . Water crossings and especially MUD holes caused my boots to STICK!! And worst of all they did NOT dry out, even after a week of being left out with a fan pointed at them.I bought the DryGuy DX boot dryer based on recommendations here at Amazon. IT WORKS. I leave my boots on the dryer for a couple hours and the following day they are dry. I also Lysoled the heck out of the boot and footbeds, started using Odor Eaters, and this has tamed the smell.Hopefully the longevity holds up, I plan on taking it with me when trailer camping, hooking it to an inverter in the camper and making sure the botts dry out each evening for the next days ride. 5Works well and is quiet! We purchased several of these for our mudroom. We are a family of 5 who skis and regularly have company. Now everyone can have dry boots and gloves for the following day. We use these for snow boots, ski boots and gloves. Seems to be sturdy enough to handle even my husbands large/heavy ski boots w/ease. It's did an excellent job drying out gloves between snow shoveling/snowman building with our most recent snow storm. No more kids whining about wet gloves! It will probably come in handy during the spring/summer months to dry out wet shoes after a trip in the creek/river and will help dry out their mountain biking gloves/shoes after washing them, becuase if there's mud...my kids are going to ride right through it.As for noise, these are very quiet. With 2-3 of them going I can barely hear them in the next room with the door open. The foot print is smaller than I thought it would be, but that's ok by me. I'd rather not have them taking up so much space.5
