Customer Reviews

BEST FISHING, BEACH AND GAME CHAIR EVER!I LOVE this chair! It's slightly heavier than expected but its made so well so why wouldn't it be? The bag that comes with it is great for carrying over the shoulder. Shake it out and its set up! LOL The very strong netting allows air flow on a really hot day which is such a plus. I found no drawbacks with this chair. I use it at soccer games, the beach and FISHING! Did I mention that I'm 66 years old with a bad back and this chair is so comfortable and I don't have a problem getting in or out of this chair BY MYSELF! I practiced a few times at home to make sure it wasn't just comfortable but that I'd be able to get in and out of it whole ALONE because I very often go fishing by myself and needed to make sure I could handle it.I would definitely recommend this product...if there were more stars, I'd give this chair a 10. 5Front crossbars were a problemThe chair appeared to be solidly built, but a bit heavier than needed due to the steel frame, though I'd think it would be less prone to the wind tossing it around than if it were aluminum. The weight wasn't a concern as I bought this for the beach and concerts/films in the park, not backpacking, but thought it worth mentioning. The fabric, stitching and mesh seemed solid too. I bought the khaki which I thought would show less wear over time.Despite the decent construction, I'm returning mine as the cross bars at the front press against the front of the seat when I'm sitting and my legs are extended. I'm a fit 6'2" & 220 lbs with thick legs, so your experience may vary. With my legs extended (as I'd likely be at the beach) it causes about 1/2 the seat (1/4 on the left and 1/4 right side) to make hard contact with those bars. After a few minutes it's uncomfortable and cuts off circulation in my legs. The only relief is to sit with knees bent so that my thighs don't make as much contact with the seat. All in all it's kind of limiting as as camp chair if I'm not able to stretch my legs.If the manufacturer had designed the crossbars with a more aggressive bend away from the seat surface, or possibly added some padding there, this may not have become a problem. If you're on the shorter, slimmer, or lighter side, this may not be an issue for you. It looks like most of these camp chairs are using a lot of the same frame designs, but I did see one here at Amazon that appears to have resolved this problem but it's currently available in an unappealing baby blue. #WEJOY Compact Low Sling Folding Beach Chair Lightweight Collapsible with Cup Holder Pocket Mesh Back & Armrest, Blue I have to give it 2 stars since I can't justify keeping it for myself. 2Worth mentioning...Worth mentioning: Two drawbacks of the chair is that many times being so low is awkward or impractical - especially when you meet with friends who have the taller chairs - although I personally like sitting on the floor. However, I'll tell you that the one thing I really don't like is that the back does not go high enough to rest your head; I think that is the true reason why it feels awkward to sit "back" on it as if to try and relax for a long time. 3Sweet little chairs. My wife and I really like these little chairs. They are comfortable and well built. the cloth is thick, rugged, well stitched and trimmed. the feed are well thought out. They do not pack down much smaller than a regular camp chair. I am happy with this purchase. Tested in the Florida Everglades and 10k islands. 5The most comfortable concert chair you can get!I bought 2 of these chairs for going to concerts where I need ultra low chairs.I own 2 of the full height chairs of this brand/style. They are the most comfortable chairs I own! Far more comfortable than my recliner, my couch, or my office chair. I have owned the full sized chairs about 10 - 12 years. One of these full height chairs is finally starting to rip, but they get heavy use! (Sorry abou the pun! Not really! lol! My husband is over 200# and I am over 250# and these chairs don't even notice!)These concert ground chairs are accepted anywhere where you are allowed to have chairs that allow you to not sit directly on the ground. They are THE MOST COMFORTABLE ground chairs EVER!!! Everyone who sits in them wants to steal them from me, but I closely guard them!!! (I seriously do, as I have tried many other low chairs and all of them are painful for me to sit in...Another nice thing about these low concert chairs is that, due to the way the fabric is attached, there are 3 seating positions: Upright, Relaxed, and Reclined. All 3 positions are very comfortable. In fact, the most common sight of these chairs at camp is with someone in them reclined asleep! (I have finally put my foot down and refused to set them up at camp because I just don't have the heart to kick out the sleepers so I can take the chair to one of the stages to watch a show!)These chairs also easily fold up quite small and have a quiver case you can sling over your back for easy carrying, and they are light weight.By the way, my husband and I both have tons of back problems, and our problems typically mean that we aren't comfortable in the same chairs. With these chairs that isn't a problem. We both find them super comfortable. The only negative thing I can say about these chairs is that they are hard to get out of. You have to roll sideways off them, like you are rolling out of bed. All other attempts are worth videoing for blackmail as they MUST be hilarious to watch the contortions and flopping around as you attempt one method after another... Of course, this can be a problem if you are in the middle of a crowded row, as you will have to get super friendly with one of your neighbors as you roll into their lap to try and get out of this chair. However, for how comfortable the chair is when you are in them, and for what percentage of the time you spend comfortably sitting in them versus the short amount of time spent in your neighbor's lap... Seems worth it to me! Plus, imagine how many people you will get to become super familiar with! You might even decide to get up and down a lot just to get extra opportunities to roll on your neighbors!!! ;-) 5Both broke first night of campingI bought two of these rather than one of the lighter camp chairs because this was supposed to be more durable. Well, it's only as strong as it's weakest piece. I'm 6'1" and 220lbs, gf is 5'9" and 150lbs. We went camping in Zion National Park and it was hot but we only used them at night when the temperature had cooled off. The plastic piece on the back of the chair where the top cross-bar meets the armrest warped on both chairs to the point that both became unusable. You might have better luck in cold weather but I highly recommend staying away from this if you plan on using them in warm weather. 1Best investment yetI feel like I may be the only adult to own this tiny chair. The no BS review is this:It's a small chair. It's wide sure but it sits VERY low. Be prepared. The full BS review:I bring this chair everywhere. At my kids soccer games it let's me sit back and just relax, or nap depending on how well it's going. At family functions is where it shines. It sits so low to the ground people will actually bring me food and beer due to how difficult it looks like it would be to get out of. Trash can too far? I'll just set this bottle here and within 2 minutes someone walks by and snatches it up!I have seriously tested this with regular chairs since getting this and its all the chair. If you wanna look awesome, be lazy, and comfortable get this. 5Solid Chair, Almost Identical to Crazy Creek VersionGreat chair, comfortable and well constructed. Almost identical to the Crazy Creek Beach/Festival chair (we own both), except for the following features:1) this chair has some meshing on the seat as well as the back, while the Crazy Creek has meshing only on the back -- the advantage is better ventilation, at least theoretically, while the disadvantage might be that the seat could be less sturdy, more easily ripped, although the dark meshing on this chair seems somewhat heftier than the white meshing on the Crazy Creek chair.2) the carry bag is better than the Crazy Creek bag - it's made of a sturdier canvas, and the strap is adjustable.3) This chair has a limited lifetime warranty, while the Crazy Creek has a 5-year limited warranty. 5Sturdy and good back support, great for outdoor events of any kind.So I bought several lawn section tickets for summer concerts and needed a chair that was allowed into the venue, based upon other reviewers I decided upon this chair, reason being is I have some lower back issues, am a mature woman, who is quite curvy, so getting up from that low a position can be tough. . . my verdict, well worth the price! My friend who came with me (I purchased 2 chairs), also LOVED the chair. It is well constructed and is very comfortable and supportive of your back. Easy to open and close and while not light, it does have a good carrying bag that you can sling over your shoulder comfortably. I found that I could get up and down easily because of the sides. We'll see how durable it is over time, but as said earlier, I believe to to be well constructed. 5Sturdy, Compact DesignI was overly cautious and only bought one... I have other ALPS Mountaineering products and I appreciate their approach. This stuff is made for use and not bad for show either. I broke it out of the box, wiped it out of it's bag and set it up on the living room. My wife doesn't what this becoming a permanent feature indoors. Little does she know I bought another one for her. It's sturdy and well designed. The low profile is great for the beach or just stretching out your legs. Low profile chair for low profile camping. Just what I was looking for. The smaller size will make it easier to stow and carry. The color (rust) is great and on sale, good for me. The vent back mesh is not flimsy and if we get some rain, water won't pool in the seat. I still have a garage full of camp chairs, but this will be the goto gear. Recommend highly. 5
