Best bike stand I've used.I have 10 bikes all on stands and this stand is the most versatile and effective one of the bunch. Ive had it for a year, It works really great for both thin road tires and huge 2.3 mountain tires. Best part is that the cup at the bottom rotates back and creates a tipping point for which the bike wheel sits in and if the bike gets knocked it will want to stay in place. I have a similar style of stand but if I knock the bikes in it the spring loaded arm tends to eject the bike from the stand. This one holds it nicely without being difficult. I will not buy another style now. This is my go to if I ever need more stands. Quality seems great and with the simple design I don't foresee any reason for it to ever break or stop working. 5Works great, using with a Cervelo S3 aero road bikeI was tired of putting my expensive road bike up against the wall and hoping it wouldn't fall over, and also scratching up the walls and possibly the bike. So I looked for an inexpensive wheel holder to keep it standing up without having to lean it up against a wall. After reading a post that said "your expensive bike deserves a quality bike stand", I agreed. I had initially ordered a stand from a different Mfr. that looks very similar to this one and was about $5 cheaper. After I put thru my order, this one popped up on my screen and I noticed that it has an extra component to it which they call the "push-in simple design and the wheel sits deeper. After I saw that it was from Bikehand and has a lifetime warranty, I ordered it and cancelled the other one. Well the stand works great and the wheel slides in easily and keeps the bike up; no worries on tipping over. The bike currently has 700c x 23mm tires on it and works as advertised with this tire size. 5Unbox and use right away!Works just as I'd hoped. This bike rack allows you to mount the front or rear wheel of the bike and keeps it sturdy while storing it upright. I keep my bike indoors because I live in the City and there isn't a ton of room to park it in the hallway. I was just leaning it up against the wall, but I found that my dog would bump it and knock it over. This stand makes it very hard to to disturb the bike on accident. I've used one of these before but the action of mounting the bike took a lot more force than this one and almost required that stand be attached to the ground. This one has the perfect amount of resistance. I mount it by the back tire, but it works exactly the same on the front or rear. If you mount by the rear tire, you can angle the from handlebars to take last space, which is exactly what I wanted. Someone mentioned that there are no instructions. I can't imagine why you would need any, but if you can't figure this super simple item out you can see the pictures on Amazon from the manufacturer show you the whole process. You don't even need to read!Buy this, you'll be happy. 5Bikehand is Best Bike Stand Ever!This is a great bike stand for all types of bikes from standard knobby tread mountain bike to narrow tire road bikes, adult or small. If you have a real fatty balloon tire, measure as I think it will take at least to 3+3/4-4 inches. I originally purchased 2 and just purchased 4 more! They collapse and are easy to take on a trip or move around the house or garage without bending all the way over to pick them up. They are solidly built. This bike stand does not impinge on or require my road bike to lean against the spokes like the two 20$ stands I purchased but now will not use, and they are infinitely more stable and easier to get the bike into. They will not interfere with disc brakes. There is no adjusting necessary to go from a road bike to a cruiser, to a MTB bike! (The other stands would need to be unscrewed and resized.) The Bikehand has a spring and a fulcrum so even a heavy bike rolls easily onto it and then stays up securely either with front or rear tire in the cradle. This is the best bike stand ever. I think they are for indoor use and occasional trips. I bring them to rides and like the security of not leaning my bike on my car and worrying if the wind will blow it over or blocking my doors to get stuff out of the car. I wipe dry if get wet to prevent rusting. I think if not outdoors or in rain then they are built to last! I have n+1 bike stands so I can keep one ready for my weekend rides! It shipped quickly and was well- packaged. Directions are not necessary; just slide the cradle around and the arm swings up ready to go! To collapse for storage, pull the little silver button a few millimeters and the arm will be able to fold down and lock closed with the cradle. Can store under a bed or upright in a closet. Small footprint. You have found the bike stand to get. The ones at half the price are not half as good. Be happy and don't waste time with the other ones; your bikes will be infuriatingly tippy and you will end up back here looking for this gem like I did! I did not receive anything to write this review. 5This is a really nice stand! I was skeptical, afraid that my 20 lb carbon fiber road bike with 700x25 tires wouldn't be stable in this storage stand. Nothing to worry about. It holds even those skinny tires, front or rear, very well and keeps the bike remarkably stable. Very well designed. Excellent product. 5It works, but not well for my needs.After years of leaning my bike up against the wall in my apartment, some serious smudges had developed. I decided to purchase this to store my bicycle upright - near, but not against, the wall.Overall, it works, but not particularly well. The rack itself is too light to easily support my bicycle with panniers and it doesn't have enough weight to stay in place as I attempt to roll my front wheel into the well. As often as not, I find the rack scoots away when I try to put my bike in it, and unless I'm very careful about how I insert my bike it leans into the wall anyway.If you've purchased this, I recommend the following procedure:1. Use your foot to drag the rack away from the wall and orient it.2. Use your foot to tilt down the "locking" mechanism3. Use your foot to secure the rack in place as you roll your front wheel into the slot.4. Once the wheel is in, lift the back of your bicycle and orient it straight behind so that it has the best chance of standing up.5. If you have a weight on your bike (like a right pannier), turn your front wheel (and rack) a bit towards the weight so that you're forming 3 points of contact with the ground (front of rack, back of rack, back wheel of bike) in a triangle rather than a line so that it's more stable.As for tips on removing the bicycle from the rack? I haven't found a good method that doesn't drag the rack out of place.It really seems like the greatest improvement would be to weight the base of the rack and give it a slightly wider base so that it's more stable. 3One of my most favorite online purchasesOne of my most favorite online purchases. Wasn't sure if this was going to work on a carpet and hold my bike steadily but it most certainly does. I had bought a new bike this year with no kickstand so I needed something and this was perfect. I am a single woman so when I purchase things I look for things that are light weight, easy to install or put together etc........ well this worked beautifully. Once I received my bikehand, which arrived swiftly, I only had to open the box and unfold it and put my bike into it........easy breezy.........a great product!!!!!!! 5Not the most stableLove the concept; however, it is difficult to simply roll your bike onto the stand as advertised if, like me, you store your bike indoors on hard surface flooring (in my case, hardwood). The whole mechanism slides around on the floor quite easily. Moreover, this bike stand does not really hold your bike very firmly in place. I feel that I have to delicately walk around my bike once it is in the stand because the slightest bumps have knocked it over. For $40.00, one should expect a better product. 3Best Bike Stand EverI bought this bike stand to help organize in my garage and not have a bike leaning or falling on everything. My bike doesn't take a kickstand very well so I needed something to keep it upright. The rear section of my bike is very heavy and this stand balances my bike very well. The stand stays planted even while moving the front part of the bike or while trying to work on it. My bike has 27.5 x 1.95 tires and weighs a good deal. The stand has a great design and was worth every penny if it's able to keep my tank of a bike up. It even collapses when you're not using it. 5These things are great. I got them to stand my bikes up ...These things are great. I got them to stand my bikes up in the house so that they weren't leaning on the wall. They are sturdy and have not tipped over. They are handy for doing minor maintenance on the bikes. Best of all they fold down and easy to transport if you want to take them on races or weekend trips. 5
